Cheep-Cheeps are fish enemies that appear in the Luigi's Mansion series and the Mario series. In the Luigi's Mansion series, they first appear in Luigi's Mansion 4: Haunted Dreams, while in the Mario series, they first appeared in Super Mario Bros. (1985). In the Luigi's Mansion games, they can be defeated by being sucked up by the Poltergust 5000. They can also be jumped on, but only when they jump out of water or hop on land.
Luigi's Mansion 4: Haunted DreamsEdit
Cheeps-Cheeps first appear in Luigi's Mansion 4: Haunted Dreams, where they are only found in the Dark Doom Mansion, both on land and in the water. Luigi can defeat the ones that hop on land or jump out of water by jumping on them or by sucking them up. The ones that appear underwater can only be defeated with the Poltergust 5000 or by throwing a Koopa Shell at them.
Luigi's Mansion 5: Curse of the MansionEdit
Cheep-Cheeps reappear in Luigi's Mansion 5: Curse of the Mansion, where they are more common in this game. They appear in two mansions: the Fish Festival Mansion, and the Cheep Beach Mansion. They no longer hop on land, but they can still jump out of water, whereas Luigi can still jump on them. They once again swim underwater, and therefore, in this state, they can only be defeated by the Poltergust 5000 or a Koopa Shell.
Luigi's Mansion 6: U Are Doomed!!Edit
Cheep-Cheeps make another appearance in Luigi's Mansion 6: U Are Doomed!!, where they are once again common like in Curse of the Mansion. This game features a sub-species known as Deep-Cheeps, which chase Luigi when he is near them. Cheep-Cheeps are once again able to jump out of water and swim underwater. Cheep-Cheeps can also hop on land, like in Haunted Dreams. Cheeps-Cheeps are found in three mansions: the Liquid Lancer Mansion, the Water World Mansion, and the Really Fishy Mansion, while Deep-Cheeps only appear in the Water World Mansion.
Luigi's Mansion 7Edit
Cheep-Cheeps were stated to reappear in Luigi's Mansion 7. Deep-Cheeps will also return. A new sub-species called Spiny Cheep-Cheeps were also stated to appear.
